Iain has worked in financial services for nearly 30 years. Becoming a founding partner in Beaufort has allowed him to continue to offer expert advice to a range of clients, whilst benefiting from working closely with his fellow Partners.
Iain has kept his passion for giving independent financial advice, retaining his ability to provide unbiased, ethical and impartial advice. The majority of his clients have come to him through personal recommendations and, in a number of cases, he provides advice to three different generations within the same family.
Although he takes a holistic approach with all his clients his specialisms are investment, retirement, estate planning and Equity Release.
Iain has continued to invest in his own personal development and training and is currently working towards becoming a Chartered Financial Planner.
Away from the office
Away from the office Iain tries to find the time to indulge his passion for music; he plays keyboard in a local band, which is building up somewhat of a reputation on the gig scene!
His four children keep Iain and his wife busy at the weekends, ferrying them from football matches to guitar lessons and everything in between. If time permits, he likes to escape for a day or two to scuba dive.
The official bit
All financial advisers must be registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
You can view Iain’s entry on the FCA Register by clicking here.
Furthermore, all advisers must be issued with a valid Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) which confirms that they continue to satisfy stringent requirements to act as a financial adviser.
An adviser’s SPS must be renewed annually. We can provide you with a copy of Iain’s SPS on request.
