Our approach to fees
Our approach to fees is for a fair price for the value you receive and to provide you with certainty. Not all financial advisers and planners charge in the same way, or are transparent in their charging structure.
We are proud of the value we deliver to our clients and have no reason to hide the likely fees you will pay for engaging with us. We follow a proven financial planning process, the cost of which will be dependant upon the complexity of your personal and financial position and the amount of time the work will take.
Getting to know you
The focus of our first meeting is to understand all about you, what it is you are looking to achieve and to see if there is common ground for us to work together. This first meeting is at our expense. We will be able to provide a fee estimate at the end of the meeting.
Work we normally undertake when assessing existing plans and / or making a new investment
- Gather up to date and accurate data on all accounts
- Fully review all existing arrangements to ensure they are appropriate and support the goals agreed in your financial plan.
- Assess and discuss your views on investing.
- Review how any money is currently invested and compare this to your views.
- Recommend what to do with each existing plan e.g. retain and make no changes, retain and change the investments held or transfer to a new plan and funds if appropriate.
- Research the whole of the market for any new plan(s) to meet your goals and objectives.
- Issue a report to clearly explain our advice and recommendations
- Deal with all administration to put into place all recommendations made and agreed.
The Beaufort Financial Life Plan
Sound financial planning is not a one-time event; it’s a process that requires maintenance and ongoing attention. That’s why we have created an ongoing service plan to help you simplify and organise your financial life, and to give you a clear picture of your financial position at each planning meeting. Most clients who choose to work with us, also decide to join this programme.
The service will be appropriate for you, if you value and will find it worthwhile having an annual planning meeting, together with access to your adviser in between. At each Annual Meeting, we will:
- Assess and Update your Beaufort Financial Life Plan
- Revisit your aims and objectives and discuss any changes in circumstances
- Review your views on investment money and attitude to investment risk
- Update your investment strategy
- Agree the next stage of your plan
We follow a regular cycle to monitor your investment strategy and will report to you at least once each year, typically at our planning meeting. You will receive an annual valuation, performance and ongoing suitability report covering all assets we are advising you on.
- Email question and answer service
- A monthly email newsletter containing financial news, tax news and information on other topical issues
- Access to our network of professional partners for complimentary advice and services
- Invitations to our client seminars
- A second opinion on consideration of opportunities from other sources
- We will manage the administration on all plans we advise you on
The minimum fee for this service is £197 per month
This is our most popular service plan. Alternative options are available on request.
