Having graduated from the University of Stirling in 2014 with a BA (Hons) in History Sophie joined our team in November 2015 as a trainee paraplanner. She completed the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning in July 2018 & initially became our head paraplanner, but later also took on the role of paraplanning manager. Sophie continued her studies & in 2021 she moved from her paraplanning role into a financial planner position. She has been successfully advising clients since then & her most recent achievement is completing the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning in May 2023, which has resulted in Sophie becoming a Chartered Financial Planner. Through the process of doing this, she has also achieved the other accreditations mentioned below.

Away from the office

In her spare time Sophie enjoys socialising with friends. She is also a keen adrenaline junkie, having already done a skydive for charity and a bungee jump to name a few. Sophie and her husband tied the knot in 2021 after having to delay it for over a year.

All financial advisers must be registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Furthermore, all advisers must be issued with a valid Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) which confirms that they continue to satisfy stringent requirements to act as a financial adviser.

An adviser’s SPS must be renewed annually. We can provide you with a copy of the SPS on request.
