Beaufort Financial quiz delivers boost for Ark

We are long-standing supporters of Ark Cancer Centre Charity – and now the team at Beaufort Financial have delivered another boost to the good cause by organising a successful Charity Quiz Night.

The Tea Bar in London Street, Basingstoke, was the venue for the latest fundraiser, and 12 teams from various local businesses took part.

A team from fellow Ark Our Partner supporters Clarke & Son Solicitors finished first and won the celebratory fizz – and it was a great result for the charity as £1,360 was raised on the night. A signed shirt by Reading star Chris Gunter attracted a generous bid of £150.

As ever, Beaufort Financial will be providing added value as the team are putting the money raised through The Good Exchange portal, where it will be match-funded by Greenham Common Trust.

Beaufort Financial director Mark Dolby split the quizmaster duties with financial adviser colleague Andy Coles and put the teams through their paces on what was another fun night of fundraising.

Mark said: Thanks to all the teams who came along to support Beaufort’s latest fundraising event for Ark, which has been our Charity of the Year for the last two years.

Members of the Beaufort team have had fun and have enjoyed getting involved in several Ark-related events since 2015. We are delighted to have had a positive impact in terms of raising funds for, and awareness of, Ark’s £5million appeal and the cancer treatment centre project.

Beaufort Financial, which has clients in Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and the South of England, offers a comprehensive service to clients looking for a personal, bespoke approach to their financial affairs.

Mark Jones, director of fundraising and communications at Ark Cancer Centre Charity, said: Ark is proud to be Beaufort Financial’s Charity of the Year for 2016-17. The fabulous team at Beaufort are great supporters of the charity, and several of them have really gone the extra mile when it comes to making a difference.
